Piers Linney is a British entrepreneur, investor and keynote speaker whose career spans law, investment banking, high-growth technology enterprises and leadership in modern business. With a personal journey beginning in a Lancashire mill town and rising through the City and beyond, he now helps organisations across sectors navigate change, scale up and harness the power of emerging technology.
He trained as a solicitor and gained early experience in M&A investment banking before co-founding and leading ventures in the cloud and communications space. Piers later reached a broad public profile as a “Dragon” on the BBC’s flagship series Dragons’ Den. He has since turned his focus to helping businesses adapt to the evolving digital economy—most notably as co-founder of Implement AI, a technology partner that supports companies of all sizes to understand and implement artificial intelligence.
Committed to enabling entrepreneurs, innovation and inclusive leadership, Piers has served on the board of the UK’s innovation agency Nesta and as a non-executive director of the British Business Bank during the rollout of the £90 billion Covid-19 support funding. He is also a recognised voice in diversity and inclusion, sitting on Sky’s Diversity Advisory Council and appearing on several “most influential” lists for business and technology leadership.
